The last few weeks have been interesting. There has been illness, teething, worry, and a lot of fun things too (like a Fun Day we put on with Vineyard 53, and will no doubt blog about later). We have also felt like we have a big idea brewing, and we've started tentatively exploring how to make it happen. Much to our surprise, we've found that every way we look there are people who want to help us out. There's 30 minutes until tonight's episode of Nashville, so we'll try to be brief...

Esther's Kitchen - Four Cheese Ravioli
Make yourself a cup of tea. I cannot stress enough how vital this stage is to any attempt at cooking with small children. You need to have achieved an almost monk-like level of calm, particularly if you're using a pasta machine.
Wash hands and don aprons. Make sure the aforemetioned pasta machine is firmly secured to the table and you have issued all the proper warnings about not crushing your fingers in it or cutting yourself on the ravioli cutter.
Ready? Let's go!

The Chip Family and the Apple Family
Sarah and I tend to think of ourselves as quite healthy. Healthy because we like fruit and vegetables, and cooking fresh food, and all that malarky. Quite healthy because we'll still eat a whole bag of Doritos watching Nashville given the chance. And we do eat a fair bit loads of cake.
So today we were headed to the supermarket to stock up after a week in Center Parcs - which was an ace time with friends, and some lovely food, but also a lot of biscuits/wine/cake - and chatting to Esther about having a healthy week. She said that she felt like one of the Chip Family.
